The ZAP PAC gives you instant portable heat at just a click of the disc, 130 degrees of instant
How Hot does it get ? How long Will it Stay Warm?
The maximum temperature of any of the pads will not exceed 130 degrees Fahrenheit. The Zap Pac if placed on a cold floor will stay warm for about 30 minutes. However in your pocket or pouch against a body part, it will stay 45 minutes or longer. The larger wraps or pacs will give you at least 60minutes of 130 degree temperature. (we have been told that the 808 inside our stadium pack will stay warm for 3 hours and the 818 has been reported to stay warm all night when insulated under the covers and against a body part. These reports come from our many satisfied customers).
How Do You Recharge the Packs?
COMPLETE RECHARGE: Recharging is complete when the pad is returned to its original liquid state. This can be accomplished by boiling. Note: if the crystals form (pad hardens) while cooling, it has not been completely recharged (boiled long enough). Repeat the recharge procedure again until the solution is completely clear. WHEN BOILING: Make sure that the water comes to a full boil before inserting the packs into the pot. We recommend placing a cloth beneath the pack to prevent the pad from melting onto the pot, especially when electric heating elements are used.
How Does the Warranty Work?
The Heat Solution Packs (models 410, 808, and 818) are warranted to provide heat for 5 years. The model 304 may be used hundreds of times if used properly, however it is not warranted. Prism will replace any warranted packs (410, 808, and 818) That fails to provide heat (excluding pot burns, punctures and leaks which occur as the result of incorrect usage ). Defects are typically the result of a small "pinhole" leak in one of the seals that develops after the product leaves the plant. If a pad develops a leak it will not remain liquid after recharging. All our packs are inspected for defects before they leave the Plant.

Top-level comments on this article: (2 total)I bought this product. When I tried to use it it completely failed. After 'pressing the button' and kneading it for almost 15 minutes straight it had yet to produce ANY heat. I would stay as far away from this as I could.Perhaps Roger misunderstood how they are used. They must be heated before each use. We had several of these for many years. They are great. They are tough - we never worried when letting the children use them (They like to click the disk, see them change phase, and feel the warmth.)
Why I am responding after 5 years? We loaned them to friends and family, and they have disappeared over the years. I am buying more of them, and was searching the web to find them. (My brochure is so old it doesn't have a URL on it!)
We had several of these hand warmers for several years. They are great! They must be boiled first before use. Roger may have misunderstood the instructions. They are tough, and we reused them many times.
Why am I commenting on a 5 year old posting? Through the years we've loaned them to friends and family, and they disappeared. I am buying more of them, and I was searching the web to find them.
These are a great buy.
